The work is part of the "Cronache di Albisola" cycle, commissioned in 1948 by the owner of Ristorante Pescetto in Albisola Capo. This cycle, dismantled and dispersed in 1967/68 following the closure of the restaurant, offers a valuable and lively testimony of the community of artists, writers, critics, and poets, including Sassu. These intellectuals regularly gathered at local meeting spots such as Bar Testa and, precisely, Ristorante Pescetto.
